Big Day! This afternoon while I was at work writing learning outcomes with my logistics colleagues my Jeep was delivered!
I have been the proud owner of this ’97 Jeep Wrangler TJ since the summer of 2023. I have dreamt of having a Jeep Wrangler since I was 16 and -unbeknownst to me – Chris spent awhile searching for one for me as a surprise. My dad spotted this one when he and my mom were on vacation in Florida in February 2023 and connected Chris with the seller. With a few international phone calls, a bank transfer, and a lot of help from my parents, the Jeep was transported shortly after the purchase date from Florida to Illinois.
This 4 x 4 is of course the perfect island beach vehicle so the plan has always been to take it with us on our adventure. A few scenarios were considered, but we opted to import it into the Netherlands, and I will drive it to Sardinia when we move in August.
It has been traveling since the 9th of April over highways, across the ocean, and finally from Amsterdam to Breda. After almost 11 weeks of travel, my Jeep and I have been reunited ❤️
